About us

Przedsiębiorstwo Przetwórstwa Zbożowego KAPKA Sp. j. is a family business with a milling tradition going back 50 years. It is also one of the biggest producers of flour in Poland. The main business activity of P.P.Z. KAPKA is the purchasing and processing of grains. We produce wheat flours, speciality flours and domestic use flours of the highest quality. One of our most successful products is the excellent Jarosławska Flour, manufactured in accordance with a long tradition.

We own three production facilities located in south-eastern Poland: a wheat mill in Tarnogród (Lubelskie Voivodeship), as well as a wheat mill and a rye mill in Jarosław (Podkarpackie Voivodeship). We have an extensive logistics network and our own transport fleet. We have a flexible approach to the requirements and expectations of our customers and we provide reliable advice and competitive prices.

Our extensive experience, high quality of products, professional service and the fact that we always ensure customer satisfaction have made our company a major player among the grain processing firms in Poland. We cooperate with hundreds of business partners, both domestic and international. We kindly invite wholesalers, supermarkets, food processing plants, bakeries, pastry shops and confectionery shops to start cooperation with us.

P.P.Z. KAPKA also has a company bakery, which offers a wide selection of pastry and confectionery products. The choice of ingredients, which makes our products taste so excellent, is a result of mixing tradition with innovation. In the baking process, we utilise tried-and-true traditional recipes.

Laboratory

Our laboratory facilities are equipped to evaluate the basic characteristics of the grain and for determining the baking quality of the flours. The following tests are carried out:

  • gluten content
  • protein content
  • Zeleny index
  • moisture content
  • falling number
  • spread of gluten
  • ash content
  • impurities
  • sieve test
  • specific weight
  • particle size of flour

We also determine the following characteristics:

  • the viscosity of flour using an amylograph
  • rheological properties using an alveograph
  • rheological properties using a farinograph

The flours are also tested by experimental baking tests in production facilities at KAPKA Bakery in Tarnogród, located near the flour mill.

Certificates and distinctions

To ensure the highest quality of our products, as well as Consumer safety, we have introduced international control systems and hygiene regimes. These systems enumerated below, guarantee the absolute safety of our grain products:

  • GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • GHP (Good Hygiene Practices)
  • HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point)
  • BRC (Food Safety Management System)

In addition, we cooperate with reputable research centres dealing in food services, including the Institute of Agricultural and Food Biotechnology in Warsaw.
